Ortomare

This small Italian restaurant was a great place that I tried as a nice dinner date with my boyfriend while he was helping me move into my NYC apartment.

We both ordered our own personal pizzas and a cocktail. Everything was quite delicious, the service was great and I highly recommend checking this place out!

Teppen Ramen

I got the veggie ramen here after a long bike ride through Central Park. This was exactly what I needed after an hour or so of biking. I loved the ramen and would go again in a heartbeat!

This place didn’t seem touristy at all and also had a great variety of vegetarian dishes. Everything we got was really tasty!

This avocado toast was very delicious! It was the perfect combination of mashed avocado, toast, arugula and dressing!

Ras Plant Based

This was the fanciest presentation of Ethiopian food I had ever seen. It was the perfect combo of spicy, savory and sweet with all the different side dishes giving your pallet a break from the spice whenever needed. The bread “injera” was also perfectly spongy!

Absolute Bagels

So, I am always looking for dairy-free options and was pleasantly surprised with this bagel shop as they offered tofu cream cheese! I got a wholewheat everything bagel with plain “Tofutti” on top.

NISI

I got the Napoleon Stack! This colorful dish included a grilled portobello mushroom, eggplant, tomato, roasted bell pepper, red onion, and pesto sauce stacked on a toasted tortilla. DELISH!

Reichenbach Hall

I got to try the vegan wurst and it was not too bad! My favorite part of the meal was the Rotkohl or red cabbage because it was one of the foods my host mom in Belgium used to make for dinner a lot and I always thought it was delicious!

@Downtown Manhattan

Beyond Sushi

This place makes all the sushi rolls under the sun, but vegan/vegetarian-friendly! I got the spicy tuna roll and beef dumplings! Both dishes were delicious and reminded me of what those rolls taste like when they have actual fish and meat inside.

Red Bamboo

This was amazing vegan food! They had a ton of mock meat options and they really did taste like the real things – or as close as you can get coming from someone who hasn't eaten meat in almost 10 years….

I ordered the barbeque wings and the mac n cheese.

Gaetana’s

This pizza was worth the reaction to dairy. I love mozzarella and I always appreciate it when the cheese is melted to perfection on a pizza. Highly recommend this restaurant! But, I do need to warn you that it did take a bit of time for our food to come, so I would go to this place on a night you are not in a hurry.

Tom’s Restaurant

I got lunch with my friend at the same restaurant scenes in the show, Seinfeld were filmed in!

@Upper West Side, Broadway

Tea Magic

Oh my goodness. If you are walking around NYC and you need a refreshing sweet tea to lift your spirits, this is the place to go! I love boba tea and I always get the little fruit-flavored popping balls in the drink because they are so fun to pop! The flavor of its one was green tea passion fruit and it was delish!

@Upper West Side, Broadway

Naruto Ramen

Ramen is the perfect meal as it starts to get cold here in the city. My boyfriend and I found this cute place that is named after an anime/manga TV show., Naruto. So of course, we had to try this place out! I got the veggie ramen with a miso base and absolutely loved it! The warmth you get when eating soup was the best feeling on a chilly afternoon.

@Upper West Side, Broadway

Koronet Pizza

If you came to New York looking for a giant slice of pizza, this place has the slice for you! The large slices are the size of your usual personal pizza at an Italian restaurant. And it is budget friendly! I can see why this place is marked as famous on Broadway!
